About the role

Reporting to the Program Director – HR Improvement, the HR Improvement Lead will design, coordinate and deliver practical HR improvement initiatives that strengthen the future People Operating Model and improve how HR services are delivered across the organisation.

Partnering closely with People & Culture teams and business stakeholders, the role will focus on improving HR service model effectiveness, simplifying processes, clarifying ways of working and supporting the build-out of a new HR Operating model.

You’ll be accountable for leading small improvement projects and workstreams from discovery through to implementation, using process mapping, stakeholder engagement and practical continuous improvement methods to lift efficiency, effectiveness and service quality. You will help identify opportunities, define actions, track benefits and ensure changes are embedded in day-to-day HR operations.

About you 

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following key selection criteria within their application, as this forms part of our merit-based recruitment process:

  • Must have 5+ years’ experience working in HR improvement, HR operations, Business Partnering, shared services or process improvement roles.
  • Strong HR knowledge across core People & Culture services, with an understanding of how effective HR operating models, processes and service channels support the employee and leader experience.
  • Proven experience delivering process improvement initiatives, ideally including process mapping, Lean or continuous improvement methods, service catalogue development, workflow redesign or shared services uplift.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage small projects or workstreams, including planning, prioritising, coordinating deliverables, tracking actions and reporting progress.
  • Established stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to work directly with HR teams, leaders and business stakeholders to understand needs, test solutions and support adoption.
  • Ability to define, track and communicate measures of efficiency, effectiveness and service quality, with tertiary qualifications in HR, business, process improvement or a related field (highly desirable)

Salary for this position is commensurate to the successful candidate’s aligned skills and experience to the position.
