As a Ward Clerk, you’ll be the face of our ward, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the unit while maintaining a strong focus on quality, safety, and exceptional service.

About the role

Cabrini’s Day Oncology and Infusion Centre provides patients with access to a comprehensive range of cancer treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion services.

We are currently seeking a committed and compassionate Ward Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis (2 days per week). This role involves providing clerical and reception support, along with general administrative assistance as needed. The successful candidate will ideally be available to commence as soon as possible.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors, patients, and staff in a courteous and professional manner

  • Providing efficient reception services and maintaining a welcoming environment

  • Handling telephone calls and enquiries promptly and appropriately

  • Responding to patient requests or referring them to the appropriate team member

  • Ensuring confidentiality and discretion when managing sensitive information

About You

You are a motivated and reliable individual with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality service. You will bring:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems

  • Recent experience in a ward or unit reception role

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a courteous phone manner and strong attention to detail

  • A flexible and positive approach, with the ability to adapt to changing needs

  • Initiative, self-motivation, and a willingness to ask for support when required

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills

  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
