What you’ll deliver with us

This 6 month opportunity reports to the Manager of Advisory & Coaching and sits within a close‑knit, high‑performing team. You will partner with Business and P&C stakeholders to support the delivery of strategic people initiatives aligned to our ongoing transformation.

This role has a strong focus on non‑work related medical cases providing an opportunity to focus on process and customer experience through this service working collaboratively with other P&C teams and mentoring within the specialty.

In this role, you will:

  • Partner with People Leaders to provide trusted People & Culture advice and coaching, enabling effective team management and accountability for people matters
  • Manage complex non‑work related medical cases, including fitness for work, reasonable adjustments and return‑to‑work planning
  • Apply your understanding of processes, frameworks and roles within Australia Post to support consistent, compliant and empathetic outcomes
  • Navigate HR policies and Industrial Instruments to make informed and balanced decisions
  • Investigate cases thoroughly to diagnose issues, determine next steps and support timely resolution or effective triage
  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, consistency and People Leader experience within the Non Work Related Cases 
  • Coach, mentor and support other People Services team members, sharing knowledge and building collective capability

About you

You are motivated by partnering with the business and supporting leaders through complex and sensitive people matters. You take pride in working within policy and process while applying sound judgement, empathy and pragmatism.

This opportunity will suit a candidate looking to broaden or deepen their advisory experience, particularly in case management, mentoring and continuous improvement.

To be successful, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in coaching and advising People Leaders
  • Exposure to managing medical cases and/or workers compensation matters
  • Experience operating within a large, complex organisational environment
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing and changing priorities
  • Confidence in managing challenging situations with resilience and professionalism
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management, influencing and communication capability
  • Sound understanding of AP policies, procedures and relevant Industrial Instruments
  • A tertiary qualification in Allied Health, HR or a related discipline (preferred), or equivalent experience
