As we continue to grow, we're seeking an experienced and highly organised Stock Controller to join our team.

About the Role

As the Stock Controller, you'll play a critical role in the success of the dealership by managing vehicle inventory from factory order through to customer delivery. Acting as the central link between manufacturers, sales teams, administration, and external stakeholders, you'll ensure vehicles are accurately managed, allocated, reported on, and accounted for at every stage.

Your attention to detail, organisation skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities will directly contribute to dealership performance and an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Inventory & Deal Processing:

  • Process new, used, and wholesale vehicle stock transactions.
  • Allocate vehicle stock to customer orders and sales transactions.
  • Maintain vehicle inventory records with a high level of accuracy.
  • Manage vehicle acceptance, invoicing, and delivery administration.
  • Monitor and maintain demonstration vehicle records and stock holdings.

Vehicle Ordering & Logistics:

  • Liaise with manufacturers regarding vehicle ordering, allocation, dispatch, and arrivals.
  • Coordinate vehicle transfers and stock swaps between dealerships.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing vehicle movements to maximise stock efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate vehicle RDR and floorplan records.

Reporting & Financial Administration:

  • Prepare and maintain inventory, stock holding, and performance reports.
  • Process RDAs, fleet claims, and assisted fleet transactions.
  • Reconcile stock holdings and associated documentation.
  • Complete month-end procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Analyse sales history data to assist with stock planning and inventory management.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with Sales Managers to ensure efficient stock utilisation and vehicle availability.
  • Liaise professionally with colleagues, manufacturers, suppliers, and customers.
  • Support the wider dealership team and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience as a Stock Controller, Vehicle Administrator, Deal Processor, or similar automotive industry role.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong administration and data entry capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong computer literacy and experience working with dealership management systems.
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding outcomes and supporting business success.
