What we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Administration Support Officer to provide high level administrative, record management and financial support to the Engineering & Technical Services team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong attention to detail and takes pride in delivering exceptional service while supporting key engineering, environmental and capital works activities.

What your day will look like:

  • Provide administrative and purchasing support to the Engineering & Technical Services team.
  • Coordinate training, travel, conferences, meetings (agendas and meeting minutes) and related logistics.
  • Process purchase orders, variations, invoices and receipting activities to support financial operations.
  • Coordinate all records management activities for the group
  • Assist with the administration of Capital Works and Special Projects Programs.

What you’ll need for success:

  • Valid Queensland Class C or CA Driver Licence.
  • General Construction Induction (White Card), if required for the role.
  • Demonstrated experience in business administration and office support functions.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and the ability to learn new systems.
  • Strong customer service focus with experience supporting internal and external stakeholders.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

What’s nice to have:

  • Experience using TechnologyOne Enterprise Suite.
  • Experience with procurement and purchasing processes.
  • Experience using electronic records management systems.
  • Local Government administration experience.
  • Exposure to WHS, quality assurance or related business systems.
