We are seeking a Project Officer to support the close-out and transition of major infrastructure projects, ensuring stakeholder commitments, documentation, records, and outstanding actions are effectively managed through to completion.

Your new role
Working within a high-performing project team, you will support the successful completion and transition of major projects by coordinating stakeholder engagement activities, managing project records, and ensuring outstanding commitments are resolved or formally handed over.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating and tracking outstanding stakeholder enquiries, complaints and project commitments through to resolution or formal handover.
- Supporting the close-out of stakeholder engagement and communications activities across multiple projects.
- Drafting, reviewing and finalising reports, briefings, correspondence, lessons learned and project close-out documentation.
- Maintaining accurate action registers, records and tracking tools to monitor progress and outstanding requirements.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders, project teams and contractors to ensure deadlines and commitments are met.
- Coordinating the transfer of stakeholder records, responsibilities and ongoing activities to operational business units.
- Supporting governance, reporting and project transition requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, community engagement, communications, or a related project support role.
- Experience working within infrastructure, construction, government, engineering, or similarly complex project environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, including managing enquiries, complaints, or sensitive issues.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, briefings, correspondence and project documentation.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, maintain records and action registers, and coordinate activities across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, Community Engagement, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting project close-out, transition, governance or handover activities.
