Your new company
You will be joining a large Queensland Government department responsible for delivering and managing a significant infrastructure portfolio. Working within a newly established Portfolio Management Office, you will contribute to improving project governance, organisational capability, and portfolio performance across major infrastructure programmes and projects.
Your new role
As the Program Support Officer, you will support the ongoing development and improvement of portfolio and project management practices across a large infrastructure environment. Working closely with senior stakeholders, project teams, and portfolio leaders. You will help embed governance frameworks, improve knowledge management practices, and drive capability uplift initiatives across the division. You will be responsible for:
What you'll need to succeed
Experience within a PMO, project management, program support, project governance, portfolio management, or continuous improvement environmentsExposure to infrastructure, capital works, asset management, transport, utilities, construction, or similar project-based environmentsAdvanced understanding of project governance, reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement practicesExperience supporting organisational capability uplift, PMO improvement, or business transformation initiativesSenior stakeholder engagement and communication skillsStrong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and improvement opportunities
