Payroll Officer
- Process payroll-related time and attendance information in line with relevant Enterprise Agreements and Awards.
- Maintain accurate payroll records, pay levels and leave entitlements while supporting payroll processing.
- Respond to employee payroll and timekeeping enquiries and manage HR personnel records.
Primo Foods is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our People & Culture team in Wacol on a 12 month fixed term contract.
This role is responsible for supporting payroll and workforce timekeeping processes, ensuring accurate employee records, attendance data, and payroll-related administration across the business. Working closely with site leaders, HR, Finance, and employees, you'll play a key role in maintaining compliance, meeting critical deadlines, and supporting day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll-related time and attendance information in line with relevant Enterprise Agreements and Awards
- Capture, report and validate labour hire hours and supplier invoices
- Maintain accurate payroll records, pay levels and leave entitlements
- Set up new employees in ADP and Kronos systems
- Support payroll processing and ensure payroll deadlines are met
- Respond to employee payroll and timekeeping enquiries
- Calculate and process payroll adjustments and termination payments
- Prepare and upload superannuation payments
- Manage and maintain HR personnel records and files
- Monitor and report payroll system or Kronos issues and support accurate overtime approvals
What You'll Bring
- Experience processing payroll in a similar fast-paced environment
- Strong experience with Kronos, ADP and SAP systems
- Knowledge of employment legislation and payroll compliance requirements
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with different stakeholders
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, problem-solving capability and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication, with an ability to coach and influence
- Positive attitude and continuous improvement mindset to enhance the employee experience through enhanced and collaborative ways of working
