Seeking an experienced Facilities Manager for a 3-month temporary cover in Fremantle. To start 24/08/26

Your new company
The Facilities Manager supports a large campus in Fremantle on a full-time basis. The position will manage the services at the relevant campus, such as grounds maintenance, cleaning, fleet management, parking, security, as part of the core day-to-day activities of the area. The position is required to be available for out-of-standard hours' facility issues, data management, security incident response and move management, department administration, services/help desk management & customer satisfaction, workplace health & safety, and quality management.
Your new role

Develop, implement and manage services and contracts, systems and processes for cleaning, fleet management, parking, security infrastructure, mail and reception. Implementing service contracts, management of scheduling contractors, and other suppliers to maintain statutory compliance, contract performance and high levels of service. Implement environmental sustainability plans and initiatives. Provide customer service excellence in the provision of departmental services in line with the organisation's strategic goals and values across the portfolio of assets and ensure these services are delivered in accordance with budgets. Lead facilities team, including prioritising and allocating workloads in line with operational deliverables. Collaborate and consult with stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation, in order to achieve the key responsibilities of the position. Monitor and report on key performance indicators for staff and contractors, regularly review risk profiles, provide reports and recommendations to management for review and ensure interventions are implemented within agreed timeframes. Monitor approved budgets and exercise control measures as required to ensure projects and service programmes are completed and can deliver the required service levels within expected timeframes and budget allocations. Maintain contract plans to ensure service delivery is maintained and support management with contract and tendering processes. Ensure that obligations under the Workplace Health and Safety Act, Regulations and other associated codes of practice and advisory standards are met and complied with works performed in-house or by external contractors. Undertaking the responsibilities of the position by adhering to company policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Completion of a tertiary qualification relevant to the field of facilities management and substantial relevant experience in the field of facilities, or an equivalent of both.
  • Demonstrated understanding and application of contract management and contact administration.
    • Demonstrated expertise and ability to manage external service providers and contracts within allocated budgets and timeframes.
    • Demonstrated ability to oversee a customer-focused and collaborative facilities' management team and provide input into relevant processes for improvements
    • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and collaborate with colleagues, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Proven ability to manage and develop others, resolve conflicts appropriately and foster a positive and safe work environment to support a team to achieve targets.
