About the role and you  

The Event Manager is responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination and delivery of a range of events and travel programs across Ballpark and Sports Entertainment Network (SEN). Working collaboratively as part of the broader Events team, this hands-on role is responsible for managing assigned events and incentive travel programs from initial planning through to successful execution, ensuring a high standard of delivery and an exceptional guest experience. 

The main duties include:  

• Lead the end-to-end delivery of event projects, ensuring successful outcomes across strategy, planning, creative development, budgeting, and execution.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, client fees, and billing schedules to ensure commercial and operational success.
• Monitor and deliver against client KPIs, providing regular updates and performance insights.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, strategic advice, and exceptional service delivery.
• Oversee the planning and execution of multiple client events, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience.
• Identify opportunities to improve event management processes, increase efficiency, and enhance client outcomes.
• Develop innovative solutions and value-added initiatives to support client objectives and event success.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop business opportunities, contribute to proposals, and support pitch submissions.
• Drive organic growth within existing client portfolios by identifying opportunities to expand services and partnerships.
• Contribute to team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous professional development across the business.
• Represent the organisation at industry and networking events, building brand awareness and professional networks.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging event concepts, marketing innovations, and best-practice client engagement strategies.

Key Requirements:

• 7+ years’ experience managing and delivering end-to-end event programs.
• Proven experience using EventsAir or similar event management software.
• Demonstrated ability to manage event budgets, timelines, logistics and project deliverables.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to successfully coordinate multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• High level of organisational and time management capability.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen, including budget management and client account growth.
• Australian Driver’s License.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team culture.
• A proactive, adaptable and results-driven approach to event delivery.
