POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of your position description is to help you understand your role in Muffin Break. It tells you why your job is important and what tasks, skills and attributes are expected of you. It will also help you to talk to your franchisee/manager about what training you might need and how your progress and performance is going to be measured.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
5 Star Service:
1. Always be friendly and helpful to all customers by:
- Advising customers on products
- Advising customers on special offers and promotions
- Advising customers on espresso coffee styles
2. Does whatever it takes in answering customers questions
3. Serve customers according to 5 Star Service using BLAST
4. Educate customers about the Muffin Break exclusive coffee blend
5. Suggests ways to continually improve customer service with manager
Safety and Security:
- Ensures food safety is actively monitored
- Ensures the espresso machine workstations is clean inside and out, is hygienic and free from clutter
- Carries out all tasks in a safe manner
- Accurately record hours worked on a daily basis
- Reports maintenance issues to the immediate supervisor
Operations:
- Prepares coffee orders following Muffin Break presentation standards
- Ensures that displays are full, clean, tidy and well presented at all times
- Carries out all tasks according to Muffin Break espresso coffee procedures
- Monitors coffee quality
- Ensures extraction is correct at all times and the grinder is adjusted accordingly
- Ensure all WHS protocols are carried out
Teamwork:
- Communicates with other team members to ensure adequate stock levels
- Acts professionally at all times, while encouraging the Muffin Break values and behaviours
- Actively seeks opportunities to help other team members
- Performs other duties as reasonably requested
Performance Standards:
- Completion of all Safety Culture modules, including Barista Accreditation Program
- Achievement of Operational Standards including coffee guidelines
