About the role:

The Food Services Assistant will be a valued member of the Support Services Team. We are looking for a person who loves a fast-paced environment and knows their way around a coffee machine! We are looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Team Member to join our team on a Permanent part-time role working across a flexible 7-day roster 

As a valued member of our café team, you will be responsible for delivering a welcoming customer experience while preparing and serving a variety of hot and cold beverages, light meals, and snacks.

The Food Services Assistant is also responsible for the cleaning and servicing of assigned areas and waste disposal and complying with the AWH Food Safety Plan, policies and procedures including Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) principles. We are actively seeking candidates who meet the following requirements to apply for this exceptional opportunity. Experience in a café or hospitality setting is desirable. 

  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Positive, team-focused attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Comply and adhere to the AWH Food Safety plan
  • Delivery / restocking of pantry items to ward and department areas
  • Work in a fast-paced and customer-focused café environment
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across all areas of the café
  • Preparing and serving food and beverages to café standards and in line with food safety guidelines
  • Operating the POS system and handling transactions accurately
