About the Role:
Hanmade’s Bakehouse is seeking an experienced Cook to support its busy kitchen operations across its Filipino-inspired savoury menu. The role will be responsible for preparing and cooking a range of dishes, including silog meals, fried rice, chicken inasal, pandesal sliders and other brunch and savoury offerings.

Salary: $78,000 - $83,000 AUD
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook Filipino-inspired meals, brunch dishes, and savoury menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Measure, portion, season, and combine ingredients accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Prepare ingredients through washing, cutting, chopping, marinating, and other required preparation techniques.
- Monitor cooking processes to ensure food is prepared safely, efficiently, and to the required standard.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness.
- Assist with stock control, ingredient storage, and minimising food wastage.
- Ensure meals are prepared and delivered promptly during busy service periods.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain an organised and efficient work area.
- Follow food safety procedures and comply with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Assist with menu preparation and ensure recipes and portion requirements are consistently followed.
Skills and Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cook in a busy café, restaurant, or commercial kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and Filipino-inspired cuisine.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and safe kitchen practices.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a kitchen team, with a positive and reliable attitude.
