We're partnering with a large Queensland Government client to recruit an experienced Executive Support Officer. In this role you will manage all aspects of the day-to-day administration for the Executive Director. You will ensure the provision of professional, timely, and strictly confidential administrative support to keep operations running smoothly.
What you'll be doing
- Provide comprehensive admin support to the Passenger Transport and Strategic Policy section, including managing calendar bookings, purchasing office supplies/minor equipment, and processing ICT and building access requests.
- Manage and track critical inbound and outbound correspondence (predominantly via email and Microsoft Office systems) to ensure no deadlines are missed.
- Provide guidance and training on internal recruitment, payroll, and timesheet processes. Review and progress recruitment-related documentation while collaborating with the broader Land Transport Safety and Regulation branch admin network.
- Actively promote a positive team culture across the business, demonstrating core team values and taking a leading role in coordinating team activities.
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated experience in a similar or comparable administration/executive support role, or a proven ability to upskill quickly to meet the demands of the position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Superior time management and organisational skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite and a proven capability to learn internal government systems quickly.
