About the role:
 
As an Allied Health Assistant (AHA), you will work under the delegation and supervision of Allied Health Professionals, your Practice Lead, and Operations and Program Managers to support older clients in the Swan Hill region.
 
This role supports a flexible service model that includes telehealth‑enabled care as well as in‑person service delivery, with responsibilities across individual therapy, centre‑based programs, group sessions and gym‑based activities, depending on client and service needs.
 
This position is available up to full‑time, with lower FTE arrangements considered by discussion, depending on service needs and candidate availability.
 
 
 
Key responsibilities:
 
 
• Provide in‑person support to clients during telehealth sessions delivered by Allied Health Professionals, including device setup, therapy assistance, assessment support, and required documentation.
• Support clients to safely participate in exercise and therapy activities as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Deliver prescribed exercise and therapy programs with clients between clinician reviews.
• Support and deliver exercise groups and group‑based therapy sessions, including centre‑based and gym‑based programs, in line with delegated plans.
• Monitor, document and communicate client progress and changes to the supervising clinician.
• Work closely with Allied Health Professionals, your Practice Lead, and Operations and Program Managers to deliver coordinated, person‑centred care.
• Participate in team meetings, quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
 
What you bring:
 
• Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting rehabilitation or therapy programs for older people.
• Ability to work autonomously while following delegated clinical direction.
• Clear communication skills, including digital systems.
• Understanding of confidentiality, privacy and professional boundaries.
• National Police Check and Working With Children Check (VIC).
• Current driver’s licence and willingness to use your own insured vehicle if required.
• Annual vaccinations in line with Uniting AgeWell policy.
