Our client is a leading supplier of electrical mining equipment with locations throughout Australia. As a result of ongoing business growth, they are currently looking for a HR Officer / HR Advisor to join ASAP, initially for 6-8 weeks with strong possibility of extension for the right person.
 
What will this position entail?
We're looking for a hands-on and adaptable HR Advisor / Officer to work closely with the General Manager in a small team, supporting the broader company of approx.. 30 staff members.
This role will see you involved with all areas of HR from onboarding and contracts, to training coordination, reporting, recruitment support, and more.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate candidate onboarding and pre-employment compliance for the workshop, including internal onboarding and liaising with recruitment agencies.
  • Prepare employment contracts, including IR-complaint documentation. 
  • Support training coordination, records management, and workforce development. 
  • Maintain HR systems, documentation, and contribute to HR reporting.
  • Provide general advice to operational leaders on policy, contracts, and people matters.
  • Assist with performance management, focussing on stronger performance, conducting appraisals, reviews, and handling promotions.

How can I be successful?

  • Previous experience within a HR Officer / Advisor position, ideally within a workshop / manufacturing environment, however, this is not essential.
  • Relevant HR qualification or industry experience.
  • Strong ability to multitask, with excellent communication skills.
  • Available for the next 6-8 weeks.
