Industrial Generator Electrician – Snowy Hydro
$75/hr Flat | FIFO/DIDO | 2:1 Roster | Temp-to-Perm
CrewSELECT is seeking an experienced Industrial Generator Electrician to support generator and power station maintenance across Snowy Hydro sites in the Cooma region.
Put your fault-finding skills to work on a major energy project, maintaining diesel generators and auxiliary systems across site and workshop environments.
What’s on offer
- $75 per hour flat rate – Super on all hours!
- 2 weeks on, 1 week off
- 12-hour days, including a 30-minute unpaid break
- Camp accommodation and travel covered
- FIFO from anywhere in the eastern states — preferably Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney
- DIDO opportunities to the Cooma region
- Long-term work with a temp-to-perm pathway
The role
- Diagnose and repair generator faults
- Respond to breakdowns and minimise downtime
- Complete industrial and control wiring
- Service and maintain diesel generators and associated plant
- Complete service reports and maintenance records
What you’ll bring
- Electrical trade qualification and relevant electrical licence
- Industrial and control wiring experience
- Generator maintenance or heavy industrial electrical experience – Mandatory!
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Manual driver’s licence
- LVR/CPR – Within 12 months
- A practical, safety-focused approach
FIFO travel details
Flights are covered from anywhere in the eastern states, preferably Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney, with bus transfers between Canberra and site.
Fly-in is Thursday and fly-out is Friday at the end of the two-week swing.
