Your new role
We are seeking an Asset & Fleet Officer to coordinate the management, maintenance and lifecycle planning of the City's fleet, plant and equipment assets. This role combines fleet management, procurement, asset management and operational support, ensuring critical assets are safe, compliant and available to support service delivery across the organisation.
- Manage the City's fleet, plant and equipment assets throughout their lifecycle, including acquisition, maintenance and disposal.
- Coordinate routine servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance programs for fleet and plant assets.
- Maintain accurate fleet and asset registers and support the integrity of asset management data.
- Assist in the development of fleet replacement programs, capital works planning and asset budgets.
- Prepare tenders, specifications, contracts and service agreements relating to fleet and plant operations.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient asset and fleet outcomes.
- Support depot operations, safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities across fleet and asset management functions.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in maintenance and repair of the diverse range of plant and equipment found in a local government environment.
- Experience in operational fleet and asset management.
- Basic productions of reports and correspondence and internal/external contacts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Current Western Australian HR Class License.
