Royal Rasoi Indian Restaurant is a well-established Indian restaurant in East Victoria Park, renowned for serving authentic North Indian cuisine. We are currently seeking experienced and passionate Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities- Chef
- Plan, prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, vegetarian and non-vegetarian specialties.
- Develop and update menus in consultation with management.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste and presentation.
- Supervise kitchen staff and allocate daily duties.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
- Monitor food preparation and cooking techniques to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Estimate food requirements and control food costs.
- Order food supplies and liaise with suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety regulations.
- Monitor stock levels and minimise food wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen.
- Assist in creating seasonal and promotional menus.
Essential Requirements
- Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum one Year relevant experience as a Chef.
- Strong knowledge of authentic Indian cuisine.
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards.
