Chef

Shiwei Stirling Chinese Restaurant is looking for full-time Chef to join our team.

Successful applicants are expected to assist the company’s business revenue growth through the delivery of authentic Asian cuisines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities will include:

· To be involved in menu design and create new dishes for the business

· To follow the instruction from Head Chef, and monitor and supervise the kitchen staff in preparation of materials and cooking practice

· To assist the head chef to monitor quality of dishes at all stages in order to deliver the highest quality and efficiently prepare dishes in the shortest amount of time

· To make proper control on stock for sufficient supply for restaurant operation and place order for raw materials purchase;

· To categories and store food properly;

· To demonstrate and train other kitchen staff especially for the special cooking techniques, such as food selection, knife cutting skills, heat control and oil temperature, food presentation, and order and serving order and skills, etc.

· To prepare and cook dishes, assemble, and present them to meet customers culinary orders, in particular high standard orders and banquets

· To plan and monitor the food and labour costs in order to meet the business budget

· To check staff roster in relation to food delivery of the kitchen to achieve delivery

· To assist Head Chef to train, select and supervise the new staff

· To check and maintain cooking facilities in clean and sound function

· To implement and enforce to the food and safety hygiene guidelines of the Health Department of WA

Skills and Experience:

· AQF Cert IV or above qualification, OR at least one-year relevant work experience

· Good communication skills and team work spirit

· Ability can speak Mandarin/Cantonese preferred

· Asian cultural background preferred

Salary: $79,500-$85,000 per year plus superannuation
