Patty Shack Burger Bar is a popular burger-focused restaurant in Darwin, offering a diverse

menu of burgers, wings, loaded fries, shakes and a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic

beverages. We are looking for an experienced Bar Attendant Supervisor to join our team and

support the smooth operation of our beverage and customer service areas.

As a Bar Attendant Supervisor, you will supervise bar and service staff, provide excellent

customer service, manage beverage stock and assist with daily restaurant operations and shift

reconciliation.

Key Duties:

  1. Supervise and train bar attendants and other service staff during restaurant shifts.
  2. Greet customers, assist with seating and provide professional and friendly customer service.
  3. Report stock shortages, operational issues and customer feedback to the manager.
  4. Assist with staff rostering and allocate duties during shifts.
  5. Process customer payments, operate cash registers and assist with end-of-shift reconciliation.
  6. Process customer payments and operate cash registers.
  7. Monitor beverage stock, coordinate stocktakes and arrange replenishment of drinks and other supplies.
  8. Prepare and serve a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  9. Supervise and assist with cleaning, washing glassware and maintaining beverage service equipment.
  10. Process customer payments and operate cash registers.
  11. Promote the restaurant’s food and beverage products and respond to customer enquiries.
  12. Supervise and assist with cleaning, washing glassware and maintaining beverage service equipment.
  13. Arrange replenishment of drinks and other supplies.
  14. Assist with general waiting and other restaurant service duties as required.

Requirements:

  1. Hold a relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate II; or have at least one year of relevant full-time work experience (or part-time equivalent), which may be accepted in lieu of the qualification.
  2. Relevant experience in bar, beverage or restaurant service.
  3. Previous experience supervising or leading staff is highly desirable.
  4. Strong customer service and communication skills.
  5. Good knowledge of beverage service and responsible service practices.
  6. Ability to work efficiently in a busy restaurant environment.
  7. Ability to train and support junior staff.
  8. Availability to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
