  • Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities.

Support a not-for-profit organisation across finance and payroll functions to deliver meaningful outcomes.

This purpose-driven non-for-profit organisation plays a vital role in supporting an important sector of Australian society.

Operating in a collaborative and values-driven environment, the organisation is committed to delivering meaningful outcomes while fostering a supportive and flexible workplace culture.

The Opportunity

Join a collaborative finance team on an initial 6-month contract, supporting the organisation in a key area.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reconciliations and fortnightly payroll, while supporting a small, hands-on finance function.

Offering a part-time role, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer looking for a varied, end-to-end finance role with an immediate start.

The Role

The role is part-time (25–26 hours per week), with flexible working arrangements available for the right candidate.

You will provide additional support across the organisation’s finance and payroll functions.

Joining a small finance team, you will work closely with finance and business stakeholders to ensure critical finance processes continue to run smoothly.

As an Accounts and Payroll Officer, your responsibilities include:

  • Managing end-to-end Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities through NetSuite
  • Processing fortnightly payroll end-to-end for approximately 48-55 employees using Employment Hero
  • Completing corporate credit card and bank reconciliations
  • Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations

The Ideal Person

The ideal candidate will be available to commence in the first or second week of August or sooner.  You will have strong experience across payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ideally gained within a small to medium-sized private or not-for-profit organisation.

You’ll enjoy working in a small, hands-on team, have a positive attitude, be quick to learn new systems and processes, and be able to add value from day one.

Previous experience with NetSuite and Employment Hero would be highly regarded but is not essential.
