Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand to join our team. The Yard Hand will be responsible for performing various duties to maintain the cleanliness and organization of the yard. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our facility and providing a safe and welcoming environment for our employees and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard
- Operate forklifts and other equipment as needed
- Assist in the inventory management of materials and supplies
- Perform general maintenance tasks
- Loading, unloading, and securing building materials, shoring equipment, and barriers in accordance with site safety requirements.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of operating equipment such as forklifts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
