As our company is expanding, we are looking for a skilled and fully qualified Welder / Fabricator to join our team. This is a full-time position with 38-hour basic weeks.

The Role

Duties and Responsibilities:

·Reading project plans, blueprints and drawings and taking measurements

·Performing MIG, TIG and other types welding based on requirements

·Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools

· Shaping and bending metal sections and pipes using a variety of equipment and welding machines

·Joining components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)

·Testing and inspecting welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws

·Conserving resources whenever possible to comply with project budget requirements

·Coordinating with field labour crew for efficient installations

·Cleaning and smoothing welds using techniques such as filing, chiseling, and grinding.

·Completing products through processes like cleaning, polishing, filing, and treating with acidic solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A minimum of 2 years’ experience with handling Fabricated/Welded Structures
  2. Experience with MIG welding
  3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  4. Good focus on quality assurance

·Knowledge of using safe working methods

Desirable Skills:

  1. Valid Driving License and transport desirable
  2. AQF Certificate III or IV in the relevant field
  3. Construction White Card (NSW Issued Preferred)
  4. A strong work ethic, commitment to safety and a can-do attitude.
