Role

Kaplan Professional is seeking an experienced Vocational Education Curriculum Developer to develop and maintain high-quality learning and assessment resources for vocational education, non-accredited and bespoke financial services programs.

Working as part of the Academic Content Development team, you will design curriculum, learning materials and assessment resources that meet Training Package requirements, ASQA standards and industry expectations. You will collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers and multimedia teams to create engaging, compliant and industry-relevant learning experiences that support learner success.

This role is ideal for someone with strong vocational education curriculum development experience who enjoys translating complex industry knowledge into practical, easy-to-understand learning content.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain vocational education curriculum, learning materials and assessment resources aligned with Training Package and regulatory requirements.
  • Design learning outcomes, competency mappings, assessment strategies and supporting curriculum documentation.
  • Research, write and review high-quality financial services content that is accurate, practical and industry relevant.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers and multimedia teams to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Support quality assurance activities, including assessment validation, moderation, course reviews and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and maintain a portfolio of vocational education, non-accredited and bespoke learning products.

Essential Requirements

  • Strong understanding of ASQA requirements, the Standards for RTOs and competency-based training and assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing vocational education curriculum, training and assessment materials.
  • Experience with competency mapping, assessment design, validation and quality assurance processes.
  • Relevant qualification in Finance, Business, Commerce, Economics, Education or a related discipline.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
  • Industry experience in financial services, including lending, mortgage broking, credit, insurance or related sectors.
