We are looking for experienced Vehicle Painters and Panel Beaters to join our team at Auto Care Panel Works located at Winnellie NT.

VEHICLE PAINTERS

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Masking, sanding, buffing, and detailing
2. Application of filler and primers
3. Metal preparation for paint
4. Spray painting
5. Prime and topcoat
6. Colour matching
7. Maintaining and cleaning equipment

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Ability to work independently in a time and safe manner and in a team from time to time
2. Qualified vehicle painter with at least 3 years’ experience
3. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of qualifications
4. Attention to detail and pride in your work
5. Experience with painting a variety of vehicle brands and models
6. Understanding of workplace health and safety

PANEL BEATERS

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle strips and rebuilds
2. Remove, repair and replace damaged panels following repair procedures
3. Repair dents on damaged panels using fillers
4. Filing, grinding and sanding the body of the vehicle to restore to pre-accident condition
5. Re-fit and align all parts
6. Realign chassis and body frame

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. Relevant Trade qualification with 3+ years of relevant experience - essential.
2. Trade Licence or ability to apply for trade licence is required
3. Ability to work independently in a timely and safe manner and also in a team
4. Attention to detail and pride in your work.
5. Experience with panel beating on a variety of vehicle brands and models
6. Understanding of workplace health and safety.
7. Positive and motivated.

10. A keen eye for detail
11. Adhere to all work, health and safety policies and procedures

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year
