An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Training Development Specialist to join one of our mining clients for a temporary role that commences immediately for approximately 6 months.
This role will play a critical part in enhancing and modernising existing training programs, transforming traditional face-to-face content into engaging, contemporary learning experiences.Working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), you will be responsible for reviewing, redesigning, and developing high-quality learning materials that support capability development across the business.The OpportunityAs the Training Development Specialist, you will:

  • Redevelop and enhance existing PowerPoint-based training modules to improve learner engagement and effectiveness.
  • Design and implement interactive knowledge-check activities using Slido.
  • Develop digital theory assessments and learning content within Easygenerator.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to ensure training content is technically accurate, relevant, and aligned to operational requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to modernise learning approaches and improve the overall training experience.

Due to the collaborative nature of this position, you will be required to travel regularly to Olympic Dam to work directly with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.About YouTo be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development, instructional design, or training content development.
  • Strong experience creating and enhancing training materials, particularly PowerPoint training packages.
  • Experience developing digital learning content, assessments, and learner engagement activities.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively with SMEs and operational teams.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Mandatory Requirement

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40122)

Contract Details

  • 6-month contract
  • Immediate start preferred
  • Monday to Friday
  • 8-hour days
  • Hybrid working arrangement with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home by agreement
  • Regular travel to Olympic Dam required
