A great opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Townsville (Queensland).
The Trades Assistant is responsible for the assistance of maintenance activities including tyre fitting on a vast range of exciting Defence vehicles and assets.

$34.29 an hour plus Super
Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays

About the role
- Helping trades personnel with all types of work in the workshop
- Assisting in maintenance and storeroom tasks
- Maintaining the work area in a neat and orderly manner
- Operating plant and equipment where qualified and licenced to do so
About you
- Hold a current Driver’s License (C class, manual, open)
- Have a great attitude, a good work ethic and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Additional experience would also be highly desirable;
- Tyre fitting experience
- High Risk Work license with competencies in Forklift
- Computer Literacy using Microsoft office products (especially Excel)
- You must be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Defence Security Clearance
