Trades Assistant and General hand Premises
- Support the upkeep and presentation of the Brisbane site.
- Perform grounds maintenance and minor building repairs.
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment and conduct site inspections.
We are looking for a practical, hands-on Trades Assistant & Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support the upkeep, safety and presentation of our Brisbane site.
This varied role will involve grounds maintenance, minor building repairs, site upkeep and general facilities support.
About the role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Mowing, edging, pruning, weeding and general garden maintenance
- Maintaining pathways, fencing, signage and outdoor areas
- Completing minor building maintenance, painting and repairs
- Operating grounds maintenance equipment, power tools and hand tools
- Conducting basic site inspections and reporting maintenance issues
- Supporting preventative maintenance and contractors on site
- Operating a forklift to move materials and equipment
- Keeping the site safe, clean and well presented
About you
You will have:
- Current Queensland LF Forklift Licence
- Current driver's licence
- Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening, property maintenance or a similar role
- Basic handyperson and building maintenance skills
- Experience using mowers, brush cutters, hedge trimmers and power tools
- Good physical fitness for manual and outdoor work
- A strong commitment to safety
- A reliable, proactive and practical approach
Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment would be highly regarded, along with a First Aid Certificate or EWP licence.
