What you’ll be doing:
- Managing end-to-end payroll processing within required timeframes
- Maintaining employee payroll records and ensuring data accuracy
- Processing new starters, terminations, leave, allowances and payroll adjustments
- Completing payroll reconciliations, reporting and statutory requirements
- Handling payroll-related queries from employees and managers
- Supporting month-end and year-end payroll activities
- Monitoring compliance with payroll legislation, Awards and internal policies
- Identifying opportunities to improve payroll processes and systems
What you’ll need:
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and taxation
- Knowledge of Awards and Enterprise Agreements (SCHADS highly regarded)
- Experience with payroll systems such as Employment Hero, PayCat or similar
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Experience within the not-for-profit, aged care or community services sector will be viewed favourably.
