Springbok Foods is a national wholesale distributor and retailer of the largest range of South African groceries and good products in Australia.

They require a Telecommunications Technical Consultant to join their team based in Burleigh, QLD. The role will also cover Noosaville, Greater Brisbane, Forest Glen, North Lakes, Oxenford and Loganholme, QLD.

Key responsibilities include:

  • ICT Helpdesk: Provide technical assistance and support to end users regarding Telecommunications-related issues, such as point of sale, communication and infrastructure across our stores;
  • Network Installation and Maintenance: Install, configure and maintain telecommunications networks and equipment across our factory and stores;
  • ERP Admin Support: Provide administrative support for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system related to telecommunications in the software system that we use to manage and connect our core business processes in one location;
  • Project Design Assist and Task Management: Assist in project design and provide support in telecommunications project management activities;
  • Manage, supervise and provide technical advice on telecommunications systems;
  • Receive feedback, identify users' needs and requirements and mobilize existing technology to meet their criteria;
  • Document plans, requests, activities and specifications and report on them;
  • Program features, design networks and systems and allocate resources as necessary;
  • Monitor and test systems and peripheral equipment and troubleshoot problems;
  • Evaluate systems performance level and improve capabilities as needed;
  • Oversee and coordinate telecommunications activities;
  • Purchase electronic equipment and prepare budgetary justifications;
  • Cooperate with management to develop staff and improve their skills;
  • Follow industry's standards and best practices.

To be considered you will need a level of skill commensurate with an AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma and at least one year of post qualification employment experience OR at least three years of relevant employment experience.

This is a full time role, an immediate start is available. A remuneration package of $80,000 - $90,000 per annum is on offer to the successful candidate.
