Technical Sales Representative - Specialty Steels

Atlas Steels is a leading specialty steel distributor who has been a supplier of specialty steels and alloys to the Australian and New Zealand markets since 1939. At Atlas Steels our focus is to ensure complete customer satisfaction through our purchasing, stocking, and procurement of a comprehensive range of products throughout our 8 Service Centres located across 5 states of Australia, providing an unequalled level of customer service.

Core Duties:

·Develop existing Customer and Business Opportunities.

·Identify, pursue, and close new Business Opportunities through Business Directories or Referrals by Phone/Email and/or in Person.

·acquiring and updating knowledge of employers' and competitors' goods and services, and market conditions

·visiting regular and prospective client businesses to establish and act on selling opportunities

·monitoring customers' changing needs and competitor activity,

·quoting and negotiating prices, and completing contracts and recording orders

·Training Personnel and assisting Team Members to develop their Skills.

·Working to Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and Sales Targets.

Qualifications/Key Competencies:

·Previous Experience of a minimum of 2 Years in Sales of Specialty Metals and Aluminium Products.

·A relevant qualification

·Strong Knowledge of Production Methods of Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium Products.

·Ability to Share Knowledge and Develop Team Members.

·Self-Motivated and Organised.

·Ability to interact with Management at all levels including Architects, Specifiers and Project Engineers.

·Strong Written and Verbal Communication.

·Ability to Build rapport and Strong Relationships with Customers.

·High Level of Computer Literacy.

Annual Salary: AUD $79000-85000

This role comes with a salary commensurate with the importance and seniority of the role and includes a fully maintained company vehicle.
