System Analyst

Our Hobart-based client is seeking a versatile Systems Analyst / Business Analyst to support business improvement initiatives, system optimisation, and project delivery. The role involves gathering and documenting business requirements, analysing processes and workflows, configuring business applications and forms, and identifying opportunities to improve service delivery through technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to capture, document, and analyse business requirements.
• Design, configure, and optimise smart forms, workflows, and business applications.
• Review organisational structures, roles, permissions, and segregation of duties (SoD) requirements, recommending system and process improvements.
• Analyse databases, workflows, and user impacts to support role transitions and business changes.
• Rationalise and optimise reporting environments by reviewing report usage, subscriptions, and business value.
• Support project delivery, testing, change management, and transition to business-as-usual operations.
• Contribute to application support, system configuration, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Systems Analyst and Business Process Analysis experience.
• Ability to interpret SQL queries and develop custom scripts.
• Experience with stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and project delivery.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small, high-performing team.

Technical EnvironmentExperience with some or all of the following is desirable:

• SQL and SSRS Reporting Services
• Power BI
• Business application support and system configuration
• Azure environments
• Jira, Confluence, Spira, and Azure DevOps
• ServiceNow
• SharePoint
• Power Automate and electronic forms platforms
• Testing, change management, and help desk support
• Small-scale project management and project coordination
