Make a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability by joining Endeavour Foundation as a Disability Support Worker in our SIL homes in Petrie area.
We have Casual and Part-Time opportunities available, offering a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, weekends and sleepover supports. Open availability, including the ability to work sleepover shifts, is required.
As a Disability Support Worker, you’ll support people to live as independently as possible, build confidence, achieve their NDIS goals and enjoy greater connection with their community. No two days are the same, and every day brings an opportunity to make a genuine difference.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting people to develop everyday living skills including cooking, housekeeping, budgeting and social skills.
- Providing person-centred support, including personal care where required.
- Supporting community participation through outings, appointments, activities and social connections.
- Helping people maintain meaningful relationships with family, friends and support services.
- Supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours of concern in a calm, respectful and professional manner.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for compassionate, reliable and professional people who are passionate about supporting people with disability to live the life they choose.
A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) is advantageous. You’ll also need, or be willing to obtain, the relevant screening and compliance checks, First Aid and CPR, and hold an open driver’s licence with comprehensive vehicle insurance.
