About the Role
A senior leadership opportunity for an experienced FANZCA-qualified Anaesthetist to lead a well-established anaesthesia service within a busy regional hospital. The role combines hands-on clinical practice with departmental leadership, clinical governance and service development.
You will provide strategic direction, mentor medical staff, drive quality and safety initiatives, and contribute to broader hospital leadership while delivering high-quality anaesthetic care across a varied case mix.
Candidate Profile
- FANZCA with Specialist (or eligible) registration with AHPRA
- Strong clinical leadership and governance experience
- Commitment to education, mentoring and continuous improvement

This hospital is approximately 550 km North of Brisbane and 100 km south-east of Rockhampton.
The hospital has the capacity for 29 bed medical/surgical ward (including palliative care), 14-bed gynaecology/maternity wards with four birthing suites, eight-bed paediatric ward and four-bed high dependency unit.
