About the role
We are looking for a Social Worker who is passionate about assisting those impacted by workplace injuries. At Ascent Rehabilitation Pty Ltd, you will play a vital role in helping individuals recover from injuries, illnesses or disabilities. This full-time position, based in Canberra ACT 2600, involves case management activities including conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments; developing and implementing tailored rehabilitation plans to support our clients' recovery and reintegration into their daily lives; and coordinating clients access to services and supports. This is for an entry level role, no industry experience is required - new graduates are encouraged to apply!
What you'll be doing
- Conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate clients' needs.
- Collaborating with clients, their families and healthcare professionals to create customised recovery and rehabilitation plans tailored to their individual circumstances and needs
- Empowering clients to address barriers in their recovery and return to meaningful occupations
- Advocating for solutions and liaising with relevant stakeholders to ensure a seamless rehabilitation process
- Providing education and support to clients throughout the rehabilitation journey
- Continuously developing your professional knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality, innovative services
What we're looking for
- A tertiary qualification in a social work and current registration with AASW
- Strong understanding of biopsychosocial framework and workplace mental health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, healthcare professionals and stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills
- A passion for empowering individuals to achieve their maximum potential and live fulfilling lives
- Aptitude to work well in a team, as well as independently
- Excellent time-management and organisational skills
- A current unrestricted drivers licence

Salary
Between $75,000 - $95,000 based on skills, experience and qualifications.
