SMP Surveyor

Bring your SMP Surveying expertise to a varied portfolio of oil, gas and mining projects across major facilities, infrastructure and construction. We’re seeking flexible, client-focused SMP Surveyors who can add value on site, in return for strong pay and ongoing, stable employment. These roles will be working for blue chip clients on FIFO 2/1 or 2/2 rosters.

The role

• Complete construction set-outs and as-built surveys.
• Produce precise survey drawings, reports and piping isometrics.
• Manage survey control and project survey databases.
• Meet project, quality and client requirements while delivering safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants and project teams.

What you bring

• 6+ years in a comparable surveying role and a Diploma or Degree qualification in Surveying.
• Strong oil and gas, mining or major construction experience, with proven SMP and Dimension Control Surveying capability.
• Competence with Leica or Trimble equipment, UAVs, 3D laser scanners, GPS and total stations, plus Civil 3D or Trimble Business Centre software.
• Confidence using knuckle prisms and performing absolute rotations through Geovert.
• Confidence working independently in remote and FIFO environments.
• A flexible approach, strong client communication, planning and problem-solving skills, and the ability to add value to project teams.
• A current manual driver’s licence, White Card and First Aid Certificate.

What’s on offer

• $55–$90 per hour, depending on experience, plus superannuation or GST as applicable to your engagement.
• 11.5 hour days on FIFO 2/1 or 2/2 roster.
