About the Role
Join a modern regional Emergency Department managing approximately 18,000 presentations annually. Working alongside FACEMs, FACRRMs, FRACGPs, junior doctors and nurse practitioners, you will provide clinical leadership, supervise medical teams and deliver high-quality emergency care. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to education, quality improvement and service development. International candidates can be considered.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise medical staff during ED shifts
• Assess, diagnose and manage emergency presentations
• Support admissions, transfers, discharges and clinical handovers
• Participate in on-call and emergency response rosters
• Mentor junior clinicians and support education programs
• Contribute to quality, safety and governance initiatives
Essential Criteria
• AHPRA Specialist Registration (FACEM) or FRACGP/FACRRM with advanced emergency medicine qualifications
• Recent Emergency Medicine experience in Australia or a comparable setting
• Strong clinical leadership and teamwork skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to patient safety and continuous improvement
