Role 1: Leading Hand Painter Blaster
What You'll Do:
- Lead daily operations: Coordinate blast and paint activities.
- Perform blasting & coating: Carry out abrasive blasting and protective coating applications.
- Team development: Lead by example and mentor team members.
- Work allocation: Assign tasks and manage daily priorities.
- Safety compliance: Uphold safety, environmental, and permit requirements.
- Quality assurance: Complete inspections and QA documentation.
- Continuous improvement: Maintain equipment and drive process improvements.
Role 2: Industrial Painter & Blaster
What You'll Do:
- Abrasive blasting and surface preparation
- Grinding, sanding and mechanical preparation of surfaces
- Application of industrial coating systems using airless spray equipment
- Spray, roller and brush application as required
- Maintaining blasting and painting equipment
- Completion of quality checks and inspection records
- Following maintenance work instructions and coating specifications
- Working safely within an operating manufacturing environment
- Supporting shutdown, project and routine maintenance activities
- Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards
What You'll Bring:
- Industrial painting & blasting experience.
- Leadership background: Previous Industrial Painter, Blaster, Leading Hand or Crew Leader experience.
- Technical expertise: Skilled in abrasive blasting and airless spray.
- Safety certifications: Working at Heights & Confined Space Entry.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Excellent communication & organization skills.
Highly Regarded
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation & Coating Application.
- Trade qualifications in Painting & Decorating.
- Licenses: Forklift (LF) & Elevated Work Platform (EWP).
- Experience in manufacturing/heavy industry environments.
- Knowledge of surface preparation standards, WFT, DFT, environmental monitoring, and coating inspection.
- AMPP CIP Level 1 certification or willingness to train.
