Site Manager | Major Civil Infrastructure Project
 
The Opportunity
We're representing a leading civil contractor delivering one of Western Sydney's largest and most complex greenfield infrastructure developments.
 
This is a long-term opportunity for an experienced Site Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of a major civil works package comprising bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage, utilities, intersections and public domain infrastructure. With a strong pipeline of secured work, this role offers genuine stability and the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy on a landmark project.
 
This position would particularly suit an experienced Site Manager who enjoys building high-performing teams, mentoring younger engineers and supervisors, and taking ownership of large, technically challenging projects.
 
The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, efficient and successful delivery of site operations.
 
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading all day-to-day site operations across multiple construction fronts
  • Managing Site Supervisors, Project Engineers and subcontractors
  • Driving construction programs to ensure milestones are achieved safely and on schedule
  • Overseeing bulk earthworks, roadworks, drainage, utilities, retaining structures and associated civil infrastructure
  • Coordinating plant, labour, materials and subcontractor performance
  • Managing site logistics and sequencing to maximise productivity
  • Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and environmental compliance
  • Working closely with the commercial and project management teams to identify risks and resolve delivery challenges
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, authorities and key stakeholders

About You
You are a highly respected civil construction leader with extensive experience delivering major infrastructure projects.
 
You'll ideally possess:

  • 20+ years' experience within Australian civil construction
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on large-scale civil infrastructure or subdivision projects
  • Strong background managing complex earthworks, roads, drainage and utility packages
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor experienced site teams
  • Strong planning and organisational capability
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to balance program, quality and cost outcomes
  • A practical, solutions-focused approach and calm leadership style
  • Stable employment history with reputable Tier 1, Tier 2 or specialist civil contractors
