Your new role
In this position, you will operate as a Structural / Civil Site Engineer responsible for bridging the gap between design and construction. Your work will include conducting regular site inspections, signing off on critical construction stages, and ensuring all works align with approved engineering plans. You will support design and certification tasks, including documentation such as Form 15 and Form 12, and assist with structural elements like floor framing, wall bracing, tiedowns, and suspended slabs. You will also act as the primary point of contact for builders, responding to RFIs and resolving onsite issues when unexpected ground conditions or material changes arise. Coordination will be a key part of your day, liaising with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams while preparing and submitting site documentation and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings. Safety will remain central to your role as you assess constructibility and project risks to maintain compliance with standard safety regulations.
What you'll need to succeed

• Relevant Engineering Qualifications A Bachelors Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Industry Experience Ideally 15 years across civil or structural engineering, with exposure to both site and design work.
• Technical Skills Strong understanding of construction methodologies, soil testing, and CAD software, supported by excellent analytical and numerical capability.
• Communication Strengths The ability to liaise confidently with builders, clients, and internal teams.
• Certifications Eligibility for RPEQ is highly desirable, along with standard safety certifications such as a White Card.
