Your new role
An exciting opportunity exists for experienced Shotfirers to join a high-performing team supporting large-scale coal mining operations across Central Queensland. Working on a DIDO basis, predominantly on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the drill and blast process, including magazine management, loading, tying and firing blasts in accordance with approved designs and safety standards. You will provide leadership and guidance to blast crews, work closely with key stakeholders on site and contribute to the training and development of new team members while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational performance.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience working as a qualified Shotfirer
  • Current QLD Shotfirer's Licence
  • Current QLD Explosives Security Clearance
  • Strong understanding of blasting procedures and explosive storage regulations
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Experience mentoring or guiding team members is highly regarded
  • HR Driver's Licence (desirable but not essential)
