Service Technicians
- Responsible for servicing equipment in the workshop and onshore as needed.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, perform repairs and maintenance on diesel motors.

Access Hire South Australia is looking for qualified Service Technicians.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the servicing of equipment in our workshop and on occasion may be requested to service our equipment and clients onshore.
These are full-time permanent roles.
Your duties will include:
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts.
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmission, steering mechanisms and other components and checking parts.
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components and referring to service manuals as needed.
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations.
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired. Diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers.
- May inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or details work required to achieve roadworthiness.
- May respond to vehicle breakdown service calls.
The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, respect, Communication and Continuous improvement - in addition to this they will have:
- Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engineer Technology including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in automotive Diesel Engine Technology is highly preferred.
- At least two years of relevant full-time experience (where a suitable Certificate III or IV is held), or at least three years of full-time work experience where no suitable trade certificate is held.
- Advanced mechanical skills and experience operating within a workshop environment, repairs, and full refurbishment workshop.
- Expert in the maintenance, testing, and repairing of diesel motors and the mechanical parts of various motor vehicles' transmissions, suspension, steering, and brakes.
- Dogging and Forklift tickets with relevant experience.
- Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and work unsupervised in a team.
