Service Manager - Transition to Work Program

Location: Hunter or North Coast, NSW

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Transition to Work (TtW) Service Manager to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across our Transition to Work contract, supporting the development of high-performing teams and achievement of contractual outcomes across the Hunter and North Coast Regions

About the Role
 
Leading a dynamic and motivated team, you will be responsible for achieving contractual outcomes, providing strong people leadership, ensuring compliance obligations are met, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
As a member of VERTO's Management Team, you will lead Regional Managers and operational teams to deliver high-quality employment services to young people while fostering a culture of engagement, accountability, continuous improvement and excellence.
 
What You'll be Doing
 
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the TtW Service Manager will:

  • Lead the operational performance of the TtW contract and ensure the achievement of contractual KPIs and compliance requirements, with a strong focus on the achievement of employment and educational outcomes for youth participants. 
  • Develop and implement business plans aligned to organisational and service delivery objectives.
  • Build and maintain capable, motivated and high-performing teams through coaching, development, recognition and continuous improvement. 
  • Provide strategic advice on operational performance, risks, industry trends and service improvements.
  • Promote strong connections with participants, employers and community stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes and identify growth opportunities. 
  • Lead the delivery of contractual outcomes while ensuring compliance, quality and performance benchmarks are met. 
  • Identify opportunities for program growth, innovation and continuous improvement. 

About You
   
To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Minimum 5 years' management experience within Employment Services or a comparable environment.
  • Demonstrated success leading high-performing operational teams.
  • Strong knowledge of employment services contracts, performance frameworks, compliance and quality systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing budgets, forecasting and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Current NSW Driver License and willingness to travel, including overnight travel.

 Desirable:

  • Experience with the Transition to Work contract. 
  • Strong understanding of regional labour markets and youth employment pathways.
  • Experience in tender preparation, contract mobilisation and service growth initiatives.
