Our Opportunity 

We are seeking expressions of interest from Senior Engineer (Construction Engineering) to join our growing Sydney team.  

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects across Australia. You'll work alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment, delivering innovative civil engineering solutions while growing your technical expertise and advancing your career. 

In this role, you will 

  • Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems
  • Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
  • Preparation of client reports
  • Monitor projects for fee variations 
  • Liaise with engineers and drafters to enable preparation of documentation
  • Check junior engineers’ work as required 
  • Manage design team of engineers and drafters including allocation of resources and checking of work for small projects (where required)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • Contribute to the overall management and profitability of projects
  • Ability to interpret and communicate information of a more complex nature
  • Develop the ability to scheme up small to medium sized projects
  • Assume responsibility for the management of small, medium and some large-scale projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies– e.g. WHS practices and Quality Assurance. 

Who are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
  • Member of Engineers Australia
  • CPEng - desirable
  • Thorough understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Proactive attitude
  • Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately
  • Problem solving/analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Willingness and ability to advance own career including remaining up to date with advancements in discipline related engineering methodologies.
