Our Opportunity
We are seeking expressions of interest from Senior Engineer (Construction Engineering) to join our growing Sydney team.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse portfolio of public and private sector projects across Australia. You'll work alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment, delivering innovative civil engineering solutions while growing your technical expertise and advancing your career.
In this role, you will
- Apply a deep understanding of engineering principles to devise and deliver practical and economical solutions to problems
- Produce designs, documentation, specifications, fee proposals, reports, and other documentation to meet client requirements for projects of reasonable complexity
- Preparation of client reports
- Monitor projects for fee variations
- Liaise with engineers and drafters to enable preparation of documentation
- Check junior engineers’ work as required
- Manage design team of engineers and drafters including allocation of resources and checking of work for small projects (where required)
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Contribute to the overall management and profitability of projects
- Ability to interpret and communicate information of a more complex nature
- Develop the ability to scheme up small to medium sized projects
- Assume responsibility for the management of small, medium and some large-scale projects including duties such as pricing, tender submissions, technical documentation, project scheduling and meeting deadlines and budgets
- Ensure compliance with applicable Codes and policies– e.g. WHS practices and Quality Assurance.
Who are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering
- Member of Engineers Australia
- CPEng - desirable
- Thorough understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards
- Excellent attention to detail
- Intermediate MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Proactive attitude
- Ability to prioritise incoming work appropriately
- Problem solving/analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Willingness and ability to advance own career including remaining up to date with advancements in discipline related engineering methodologies.
