We support more than 60 areas of disease and illness, working with hospitals, universities, researchers, clinicians and community partners to deliver meaningful impact.

Over recent years, THRF Group has established and grown its presence in Western Australia through research investment, partnerships and community engagement. With a dedicated WA office, local Advisory Committee and a growing network of stakeholders and supporters, we are committed to expanding our impact across the state.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly connected and strategic relationship builder to strengthen our profile, influence and partnerships across Western Australia's health, research, philanthropy and government sectors.

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Corporate Affairs and Strategy, this newly created senior role will help shape and strengthen THRF Group's presence and influence in Western Australia.

You will build trusted relationships across the health, research, philanthropy, and government sectors, helping connect opportunities, people and ideas that advance our mission. Acting as a senior representative of THRF Group in WA, you'll identify strategic partnerships, support funding and collaboration opportunities, and help raise awareness of the impact being delivered through our research and community investments.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of THRF Group in Western Australia. You'll have the autonomy to build meaningful relationships, identify new opportunities and connect people and organisations that can drive better health outcomes for Western Australians.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintain strategic relationships across Western Australia’s health, research, university, philanthropy, government and business sectors.
  • Identifying and facilitate opportunities that connect stakeholders, researchers, clinicians, funders and partner organisations.
  • Translating stakeholder relationships into meaningful partnerships, funding, storytelling and engagement opportunities.
  • Representing THRF Group at meetings, forums, conferences and sector events, acting as a senior ambassador in WA.
  • Providing stakeholder intelligence, market insights and strategic advice to support organisational priorities and decision-making.
  • Working closely with the Head of Corporate Affairs and Strategy, Deputy CEO, WA team, Communications, Digital & Fundraising Teams, and WA Advisory Committee to support strategic initiatives.

About you
You have strong experience with stakeholder engagement, partnerships, philanthropy, government relations or external affairs.

  • You bring strong networks and a sound understanding of Western Australia’s health, research, philanthropy, government and business environment.
  • You have a proven ability to build trusted executive-level relationships and progress strategic partnerships.
  • You are a confident communicator with excellent presentation, influencing and relationship management skills.
  • You are highly organised, self-directed and comfortable working across multi-location teams and competing priorities.
  • You are motivated by purpose and excited by the opportunity to help grow THRF Group’s impact and visibility in Western Australia.

If you are a strategic connector who thrives on building strong relationships and turning opportunities into real-world impact, we would love to hear from you!

We offer flexible working arrangements, and while the role is preferred at 0.8 FTE, applications seeking a 0.6 FTE appointment will also be considered.
