Senior Manager / Director

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Manager / Director to join its growing professional services team based in Melbourne. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional looking to take the next step in their career, offering a salary of $130,000–$150,000 + superannuation + bonus.

The role offers the opportunity to manage a client portfolio, lead and mentor a team, contribute to business growth, and work closely with Directors. A genuine pathway towards equity and ownership is available for the right candidate.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing and developing a portfolio of business and individual clients
• Providing accounting, taxation and business advisory services
• Reviewing financial statements, tax returns and management reports
• Providing strategic advice across taxation, business structures, cash flow and budgeting
• Managing client engagements, workflow, deadlines and quality standards
• Leading, mentoring and developing accounting staff
• Supporting recruitment and team development
• Working with Directors on strategic and operational matters
• Building strong client relationships and identifying business development opportunities

What you’ll need:

• 8–10 years of experience in accounting, taxation, business advisory or professional services
• Strong Australian public practice experience
• CA or CPA qualification preferred
• Strong technical knowledge across taxation, accounting and business advisory
• Proven experience managing a client portfolio and reviewing complex accounting work
• Strong leadership, commercial and client relationship skills
• Experience mentoring and developing accounting staff
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
