ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this Senior Financial Accountant role will take ownership across inventory accounting, financial reporting, audit and finance projects, while also leading and developing a small team.
This is a high-impact role suited to someone technically strong who enjoys combining hands-on accounting with stakeholder engagement, leadership and continuous improvement. The role will also play an important part in finance transformation and systems enhancement.
DUTIES
- Own inventory accounting, valuation, landed costs, provisioning and associated balance sheet controls
- Lead key financial reporting activities, including month-end, reconciliations and statutory reporting
- Act as a key finance contact for external audit, ensuring strong documentation and audit readiness
- Partner with Retail, Supply Chain, Commercial and Sustainability teams across reporting and business initiatives
- Lead and develop a small team while driving finance projects, systems improvements and process optimisation
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- CA/CPA qualified with strong financial accounting and technical reporting experience
- 6+ years' accounting experience, ideally including audit and/or a senior financial accounting position
- Strong inventory accounting experience within retail, FMCG or another product/inventory-heavy environment
- Confident knowledge of AASB/IFRS, balance sheet governance and external audit requirements
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with advanced Excel and exposure to ERP systems
