Job Description:
The position of Senior Case Manager is located within Intervention Programs of the Court Services Division. The office is located in the CBD however the Senior Case Manager may be required to travel to suburban courts regularly. Some travel to regional courthouses may also be required.
The role of Senior Case Manager involves attending the Family Violence Court and providing advice to the Magistrate and men who are referred to the program about program options; conducting eligibility assessments, writing reports to the Court on a defendant’s suitability for participation in an intervention program to prevent domestic violence/abuse; referral to an appropriate program and monitoring compliance and progress, reporting progress back to the Court and notifying the appropriate authority if Intervention Order conditions regarding program participation are breached.
Special Conditions:
- This is a long-term contract for 24 months.
- Appointment is under the Courts Administration Act 1993. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the Public Sector Act 2009.
- Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
- As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
Requirements:
AHP2 - must have an appropriate degree in or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
PO2 - must hold an appropriate tertiary degree level qualification in human services, social sciences, sociology, criminology, health, community services, or a related field.

AHP2 ($94,997 - $110,052)
PO2 ($94,769 - $109,787)
