HSIE Teacher (Years 7-12) - Casino, NSW 2470

Join a growing K-12 school where you can teach a broad range of HSIE subjects and help students develop critical thinking and real-world understanding. This permanent full-time opportunity is ideally commencing Term 1, 2027, however a negotiated start date may be considered.

About the Role

Working with students in Years 7-12, you will deliver engaging HSIE programs that build critical thinking, inquiry skills and real-world understanding. Subjects may include History, Geography, Commerce, Business Studies, Legal Studies and Economics, depending on your qualifications and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach HSIE subjects across Years 7-12

• Develop and deliver curriculum-aligned learning programs

• Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback

• Create inclusive learning environments that support achievement

• Contribute to faculty planning and teaching programs

• Participate in pastoral care, co-curricular activities and professional learning

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary teaching qualifications

• Current or eligible NESA accreditation

• Current Working With Children Check

• Strong curriculum knowledge and classroom practice

• Well-developed communication, organisation and relationship-building skills

• Active Christian with regular involvement in a local church and the ability to lead through faith, integrity and service.

Location

Based in Casino, NSW 2470, this position is located within the Richmond Valley region of Northern NSW. Casino provides access to major supermarkets, healthcare services, sporting facilities and regional transport links, with Lismore approximately 30 km away and Ballina Airport within driving distance for interstate connections.
